1. Agreement
By creating an account or using LedgerCore (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. The Service
LedgerCore provides cloud-based double-entry accounting software, including general ledger management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, banking and reconciliation, invoice generation, payment tracking, receipt scanning, and reporting. The Service is provided “as is” and is continuously updated.
3. Accounts and access
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including enabling two-factor authentication. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. Each user must have their own account; shared credentials are not permitted.
Account owners may invite team members and assign roles that your organization defines over a granular permission catalogue. You are responsible for the actions of users you invite to your organization.
4. Your data
You retain full ownership of all financial data you enter into LedgerCore. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your data, and you may export your data at any time in standard formats.
You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
- Attempt to access another tenant’s data or circumvent access controls
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written consent
- Upload malicious content or attempt to compromise the Service’s security
- Use the Service to store data unrelated to accounting or bookkeeping
6. Payment terms
The Service is billed monthly at $29 USD per organization, which includes three active users; each additional active user is billed at $6 USD per month. An active user is an accepted, non-revoked membership. Seat changes are reported to our payment processor immediately and prorated on the next invoice. Payment is due at the beginning of each billing cycle and is processed by Stripe.
If payment fails or your subscription ends, your organization lapses to a read-only state: your records, reports, and exports remain available, and subscribing again restores full editing.
7. Trial period
New organizations receive a 90-day trial with access to the full product, with the exception of automated bank feeds, which are included with a paid subscription. At the end of the trial, the organization lapses to read-only until a subscription begins; no records are deleted.
8. Service availability
We work to keep the Service continuously available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where practical. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions.
9. Limitation of liability
LedgerCore is an accounting tool, not a licensed accounting firm. The Service does not constitute financial, tax, or legal advice, and you are responsible for the accuracy of your financial records and for compliance with applicable laws.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your organization lapses to read-only with every record preserved. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms with reasonable notice.
11. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address on your account at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which LedgerCore operates. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration.
